Frequently Asked Questions
-
I’ve never worked out before, will the classes be too challenging for me?
Michaela provides modifications to all fitness levels. Each person in class works at their own levels to ensure every one is getting an effective workout. You may find it a challenge, but that’s what working out is all about; challenging yourself in a safe and effective way so that you can find more ease in your day to day life.
-
What do I need to bring to a group fitness class?
Good gym shoes, water bottle, a set of weights (2-10lbs), and a mat if you have one.
-
How many days per week do I need to workout?
This question really depends on who is asking. Goals, current fitness level and time commitment all play an important role. If you’d like to find out more, what would be best for you, contact me and I’d love to chat with you about it.
-
How quick will I see results?
This, again, depends on the person asking. How committed you are to seeing results is the key, but saying that I like to focus more on how you will feel when you implement a healthy lifestyle rather than the numbers on the scale. I believe this will create an environment for lasting change rather than results that will disappear as fast as they showed up.
-
Why should I work with a personal trainer?
Life is busy and starting something new can be a challenge. Working with a personal trainer will give you the confidence you need to get started. A personal trainer can provide motivation and support when you need it most.
As a personal trainer I try to find the strength that each person has within themselves so that they can truly be successful in their healthy lifestyle for years to come. We will find out your goals, your time availability and make a program that works for you.
-
I already have a physical job, why should I need a workout plan?
Having a physical job can be demanding, with a workout plan you can focus on active recovery and building strength in areas that would most benefit you in your job. Imagine going to work every day and not being exhausted by the end of the day, or finding yourself getting through the day with ease.

How is Rural Fitness different than other personal trainers or workout programs?
Rural Fitness is founded on the idea that rural communities have a lack of convenience to workout facilities and programs that mesh with our unique lifestyle. Whether it be finding some things on the farm to use as workout equipment (5 gallon pails full of grain, square bales or tires can all be useful) finding ways to be active while involving your kids (playing tag for 10 minutes, mirror your child’s movement while they crawl around can get your heart rate up while still being present with them), I want your workout program to fit your life.
I want to change the rural communities way of thinking about an active lifestyle. I understand we aren’t all chasing the six pack abs, but rather finding ways to become more productive in our farming companies that are getting larger each year.
